About Me

Hiya! So, you want to know all about me, huh?

Well for starters, my name's Ashley Perry and I've been homeschooling for a year now. During that year, I've been learning how to balance teaching with working a full time job (crazy!). It hasn't been easy, that's for sure, but it IS doable.

I work outside of the home for 40 hours a week as a dog groomer (and my schedule changes every day). It's a pretty awesome job most of the time, but it certainly can wear me out on bad days. I do have times when I come home and don't even bother with school work (terrible, I know). I try not to beat myself up over it. With working full time/homeschooling, you HAVE to be flexible and willing to let go sometimes (just not too much . . .).

My oldest child, Haley, has been the only one being homeschooled last year. This coming year, I'm going from one child being taught to . . . THREE! (Do you hear my panicked cries yet?). So, that means this coming year I am really going to have to buckle down -- part of the reason I wanted to start this blog. I've blogged before (years ago) and blogging helped keep me focus and on track. Hopefully, I can keep it up again!
